Nikolaipol, Turkestan, 14. April. Allen Verwandten und Freunden diene zur Nachricht, daß unser l. Bruder Franz Janzen gest. am 6. April 11 Uhr abends selig im Herrn entschlafen ist.... Die Beerdigung der Leiche fand unter großer Teilnahme vom Versammlungshause in Gnadenthal (Andrejewka) am 1. Ostertage statt.... Es sind noch einige Fälle von Tyfus. Heinr. C. Neumann, Köppenthol starb 2 Tage früher, wurde am 7. beerdigt. Nach einigen sehr heißen Tagen ist jetzt kühle Witterung. H. Janzen.

English translation:

Nikolaipol, Turkestan, April 14. Please inform all relatives and friends that our dear brother Franz Janzen died blessedly in the Lord on April 6 at 11 p.m.... The burial of his body took place with great attendance at the church in Gnadenthal (Andreyevka) on the 1st day of Easter.... There are still some cases of typhus. Heinrich C. Neumann of Koeppenthal died 2 days earlier, was buried on the 7th. After some very hot days, the weather is now cool. H. Janzen.
