— Mrs. Susie Toevs of 625 Southeast Second street, received the tragic news early this week that her youngest sister, Miss Ella Neuman, 30, was killed in an automobile accident at Firebaugh, Calif., at three o'clock last Sunday afternoon. Details of the accident were not given. Mrs. Toevs and daughter, Mrs. Walter Andres, took the train at Salina Monday night for Aberdeen, Idaho, where the funeral is to be held. Mrs. Toevs has the sympathy of her many friends here in her tragic bereavement.

— Funeral services were held at American Falls, Idaho, last week for Miss Ella Neuman, non-denominational missionary in a migrant camp in California, who was killed in a highway accident at Firebaugh, Calif., Sunday night, Sept. 20. According to a press report, Miss Neuman and a friend were going home from church, walking along the highway. A car, without lights and with a drunken driver at the wheel, hit her and dragged her a distance of 40 to 50 feet, according to the report. Miss Neuman is survived by three brothers and three sisters.
