HARVEY D. MILLER

Harvey D. Miller, son of Daniel C. and Mary Conrad Miller, was born near Canton, Stark County, Ohio, on May 15, 1888, and died at his home at North Canton, Ohio on Nov. 4, 1957, aged 69 years, five months and 19 days.

At the age of 15 years he united with the Beech Mennonite Church, Louisville, Ohio. He continued in this church fellowship until the end.

On June 4,1910, he was united in marriage to Clara Maurer of the same community. Clara preceded him in death on May 3, 1938. On June 8, 1939, he was united in marriage to Corn Anna Lehman of Kidron, Ohio.

Harvey was a lifelong resident of Plain Township, Stark County, Ohio, and for the last 46 years he lived on his present farm. He was a well known farmer in the community, although for the past number of years he could not do the farming himself. He was a congenial husband and a regular attendant at the Sunday morning church services as long as he was able.

For some time he had been afflicted with dropsy which also affected his heart. During the last few months he gradually grew worse until the day of his passing, when the Lord permitted him to quietly and peacefully fall asleep: During the last few years of his illness he was reading his Bible and had completed all but the last two chapters of the Old Testament.

He is survived by his wife; two brothers, Eli D. Miller of Marshallville, Ohio and Orrin D. Miller of Canton, Ohio; four nephews and two nieces with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the home and the Beech Mennonite Church, and were in charge of the brethren O. N. Johns and Ray Bair. Interment was made in the church cemetery.
