MRS. HELEN KLIPPENSTEIN

(Mrs.) Helen Klippenstein of Herbert, Sask., passed away on May 7. She was born to Peter and Helen Block in Arkadak, Russia, on April 25, 1924. In 1925 she emigrated to Canada with her parents, settling in the Main Centre area. She received her education at the Los Angeles rural school and Herbert Bible School. Her marriage to Dick Klippenstein was blessed with two sons and one daughter-in-law, whose nearness and expressions of love meant much to her. After enjoying good health throughout her life her doctors diagnosed cancer on June 21, 1977, her thirtieth wedding anniversary. In spite of her courage and her desire to remain with her family, it pleased the Lord to relieve her of her suffering on May 7.

Her family remembers her strong faith and commitment to prayer. Her motto was, "Anything worth doing is worth doing well." She is survived by her husband, Dick; two sons: Terry and wife Audrey of Swift Current, Sask., and Randy of Saskatoon; her parents, Peter and Helen Block of Herbert; two sisters: (Mrs.) Lynn Letkemann and (Mrs.) Alvina Thiessen, both of Herbert; three brothers: Henry and wife Bertha of Winkler, Man., Jacob and wife Tina of Herbert, and Elvin and wife Viola of Herbert; eleven nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held in the Herbert Mennonite Brethren Church, with Jacob Pauls and Henry Voth officiating.
