MRS. SUSAN GERBRANDT

Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Gerbrandt were held in the Herbert (Sask.) Mennonite Brethren Church on April 9. Rev. Herman Voth spoke on Revelation 14:13.

Mrs. Gerbrandt, nee Klassen, was born May 31, 1897, in Russia. She came to Canada with her parents in 1904 and lived in Manitoba for a year. From there, they moved to the Herbert, Saskatchewan district in 1905.

At the age of 15, she accepted Christ as her personal Saviour and was baptized upon her faith and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren church the same year. On October 7,1917, she was united in marriage to Cornelius Gerbrandt. She enjoyed good health till 1942. Since then her life was a trial until she was called home to the Lord on April 5, 1966, at 4:30 a.m. She reached the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 5 days.

She leaves to mourn, her husband, Corne1ius Gerbrandt; three sons, Irwin, Salmon Arm, B.C., Harry and Elmer (of Herbert), Justine {Mrs. L. Peters of Moose Jaw), Esther (Mrs. John Penner of Swift Current), 29 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
