— Mrs. Jacob K. Froese, 76, of Buhler died Aug. 21 at a Hutchinson hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Froese, the former Pauline Friesen, was a member of the Buhler Mennonite Church where the funeral was conducted Tuesday forenoon by Dr. D. C. Wedel. Survivors include two step-sons, Albert of Wichita and Edward J. of Hutchinson; two step-daughters, Mrs. Otto Regier of Buhler and Mrs. Sarah Dahlman of San Diego, Calif.; three brothers, Rev. Karl Fiesen of Newton, Rev. C. B. Friesen of Hesston, and Adolf Friesen of Goshen, Ind.; 17 grandchidlren and 25 great-grandchildren.

MRS. PAULINE FROESE

Pauline Froese, widow of Jacob K. Froese, was born on Feb. 10, 1895 in Marion County, Kansas, to Cornelius H. and Helena Friesen.

Upon her confession of faith, she was baptized by Rev. Abraham Ratzlaff in the Hoffnungsau Mennonite Church, and became a member there.

On Dec. 28, 1930, she married Jacob K. Froese and became a devoted mother to his seven children. God granted them 34 years and six months of happy married life together.

In 1946 she became a member of the Buhler Mennonite Church where she enjoyed working with the Women's Missionary Society. She enjoyed praying and giving to the support of several missionaries.

After a lingering illness, the Lord called her home the morning of Aug. 21, 1971. She had found comfort in the Word of god, as in Isaiah 26:3, 4.

Surviving are the children, Frieda and husband Otto Regier of Buhler, Sarah Dahlman of San Diego, Calif., Albert and wife Leona of Wichita, Edward and wife Betty of Hutchinson, Ruth Froese of Hutchinson, Carl Claassen and wife Terry of Woodland, Calif., George Moore and wife Dorothy of Torrance, Calif.; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Karl Friesen of Newton, Adolf Friesen of Goshen, ind., and Curt and wife, Anna of Buhler; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. H. C. Friesen of Buhler, and Mrs. Pete Friesen of Dodge City, Kan. — The Froese Family.
