Mrs. Maria Flaming was born in South Russia, January 1, 1848. In 1867 she was united in marriage with Peter Klassen, which union lasted 27 years, 5 months, 15 days. Ten children were born, of whom two died in their youth.
In 1909 she was united in marriage to Peter Flaming who preceded her in death several years ago. She attained the age of 82 years, six months and 28 days, her death occurring August 10, 1930.
She leaves to mourn her passing,32 grandchildren of 45, and 22 great-grandchildren of whom 26 mourn her departure.
Funeral services were held from the Zoar church at Inman, Kansas. ll Rev. John Esau officiated and was assisted by Rev. H. Adrian. Rev. Corn. Thiessen spoke at the house. The Zoar choir rendered a number of selections during the services. Mrs. Flaming was laid to rest in the Zoar cemetery. — Inman Review.
