LOWELL EDMUND ERICKSON

Lowell Edmund Erickson of Kamloops, B.C. passed away Jan. 18 of cancer. He was born July 2, 1938 in Maryfield, Sask. He accepted Christ at age 9 and was baptized by his father, a lay minister. He married Carolyn Munday July 30, 1966 in New Westminster, B.C. He loved ranching and raised purebred Charolais cattle in Maryfield. In 1980 they moved to Kamloops, where he continued ranching and became a realtor. He is remembered as a friendly, happy person always ready to share his joy and faith with others. During retirement, they made several mission trips, to Haiti in 1998 and Peru in spring 1999. On June 1, 1999 he was diagnosed with a fastgrowing brain tumour. His health failed rapidly, and his son Craig cared for him. He is mourned by Carolyn; children Craig, Susan Dupuis and Lisel Copeland; and 1 granddaughter. The funeral was Jan. 22 in Valleyview Bible Church, Kamloops, with LaMont Schmidt ministering.
