text of obituary:

GERHARD G. BRAUN

Gerhard G. Braun, member of the Clearbrook (B.C.) Church, went to his eternal rest on April 7, 1968. He was born on February 10, 1906 in Alexanderkrone, Russia. He attained an age of 62 years.

After accepting Christ as his Saviour, he was baptized at the age of 17 and joined the Rueckenau Mennonite Brethren Church. Early in life he lost both of his parents. On May 15, 1926 he was married to Liese Boldt. They moved to Canada, and resided at numerous locations both in Saskatchewan and Alberta. In 1965, he retired from farming, and they moved to Clearbrook, B.C.

His Christian life was exemplary. He endeavored to transmit to his family the true spiritual values, and was indeed a wonderful husband and father.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant brother, a sister, and an infant son. He leaves to mourn his wife, Liese; his daughter, Agatha, Mrs. John Wiebe and her husband of Morse, Saskatchewan, Margaret, Mrs. Ike Baerg, and her husband of Vancouver, B.C., and Helen, of Vancouver, B.C.; his four sons and their wives, George of Abbotsford, B.C., Henry of Regina, Saskatchewan, John of Lethbridge, Alberta, and Jack of Regina, Saskatchewan; and sixteen grandchildren.

His passing brings much sorrow to us but we sorrow not as those who have no hope.
