Akins, Harold Samuel, 83, retired USD #259 elementary school principal, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Akins, Wichita; daughters, Carol (Sam) Smith, Piedmont, OK, Sharon (Doug) Weirick, Ada, OK, Karen Akins, Commerce, TX; grandsons, Jared Hjersted, Tyler Weirick, Sam Weirick. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Tuesday, Dec 1, 2009, at Asbury United Methodist Church. Memorials are suggested with the American Heart Association and Share the Season.
