			Elmer Willems was born Aug 7. 1913, near Hepburn, Sask., to George C. and Anna Zimmerman Willems. He died in Dinuba, Calif., on Feb. 27, 1984, at the age of 70.

			In July 1929 he accepted the Lord Jesus as his personal Savior. He was baptized and received into the membership of the MB Church at Fairmead, Calif. In 1932, he transferred his membership to the church now known as the Mennonite Brethren Church in Dinuba, where he remained a faithful member until his death.

			He was married to Luella Unruh on Aug 18, 1935. In 1945, together with Jack Kliewer, he purchased an automobile dealership in Dinuba. He continued as owner and operator in the automobile business for more than 30 years.

			He served his local church as usher, trustee, council member, moderator for eight years, Sunday school teacher and other assignments. On the conference level he served as trustee, treasurer and mission board member. He was chairman of the local chapter of the Christian Business Men's Committee, a board member of the Fresno Rescue Mission and the Dinuba Red Cross chapter. He served on the Mennonite Mutual Aid Association board.

			He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Judith and husband Robert Scheller of Seattle and Jane and husband James Toews of Salem, Ore.; three sisters, Sophie (Mrs. Peter) Enns of Dinuba, Gladys Neufeld of Kingsburg, and Verna (Mrs. John) Enns of Dinuba; and two brothers, Bob and wife Lucille and Norman and wife Lollie, all of Dinuba.

			Anna Weaver Yoder was born in Eden, Pa., to Harry W. and Bertha R. Heller Weaver. She died Feb. 19, 1984, at Grand View Hospital, Sellersville, Pa., at the age of 77.

			She was reared in Lancaster County and attended high school at Eastern Mennonite School, Harrisonburg, Va. A schoolteacher for 20 years, she worked in Virginia, California, Idaho and Pennsylvania. She also served in the library at Penn View Christian School, Souderton, for three years.

			She entered the Eastern Mennonite Home in 1973, and became a part-time secretary and receptionist. She was a member of the Franconia Mennonite Church.

			She was married to Orrie D. Yoder, and together they served churches in several states. He died in 1973.

			Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Yoder of Newburgh, N.Y., and four half-brothers, H. Melvin Boose of Manheim, Charles H. Boose of Lancaster, Richard E. Boose of Lititz and Robert E. Boose of Palmyra.

			Elkhart, Ind. (MBM) — Longtime Mennonite missions worker Nelson Litwiller, 88, died of cancer Nov. 18 at Goshen (Ind.) General Hospital.

			Litwiller and his wife Ada served as missionaries with Mennonite Board of Missions in Argentina in 1925-56 and in Uruguay in 1956-67. In Uruguay Litwiller served as the first president of the Montevideo Mennonite Seminary. He was also appointed as MBM field secretary for Latin America in June 1953 and served in that position until his retirement in mid-1967.

			Since 1967 he had continued to minister among churches, both at home and abroad.

			Litwiller graduated from Goshen (Ind.) College and Bethany Biblical Seminary, Chicago. He was ordained as a minister at College Mennonite Church, Goshen, in June 1925, and was ordained as a bishop in the Mennonite Church in Trenque Lauquen, Argentina, in 1947.

			He is survived by his wife Ada (Ramseyer) of Goshen, and four children, Lois Buckwalter, Beulah Gonzalez, Eunice Miller and Esther Schertz. A son, John, died in 1971.

			Funeral services were held Nov. 20 at College Mennonite Church where he was a member. Memorial services were held Nov. 21 at Steinmann Mennonite Church, Baden, Ont.

In 1975 he helped start Mennonite Renewal Services. He is survived by his wife, Ada, and four daughters, Lois Buckwalter, Beulah Gonzales, Eunice Miller and Esther Schertz. A son, John, died in 1971.
