Used on p. 16 in David Beyreis, "If you had fought bravely I would have sung for you: The Changing Roles of Cheyenne Women during Nineteenth-Century Plains Warfare," Montana: The Magazine of Western History 69:1 (Winter 2019), 3-20, 89-91. The caption used was "Yellow Hawk, a Southern Cheyenne man, woos a young woman wrapped in his courting blanket. Keeping an eye on the couple is a female chaperone who appears to be holding a sword decorated with locks of hair and feathers."
